KLHOA is offering rewards up
to $2,000.00 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction
of person or persons committing acts of vandalism and property damage
within Killearn Lakes. The Board does not take this lightly as we
are spending at least $12,000 to $15,000 of your dues money each
year correcting vandalism and property damage incidents.

2009 homeowner’s
dues invoices have been mailed. The amounts of: Non-lakefront property
is $121.60 and Lakefront properties: $139.84. Effective until June
30th, 2009. Eight % is accruing monthly as of May 1st.

Dear Friends & Neighbors,
I’m writing to encourage you to sign up for the Tallahassee
Neighborhood Energy Challenge now!! It would be great
if you could do so right now! It’s simple and only takes a
minute. This is an exciting program that will help you save energy
and get to know your neighbors a little better. The Council of Neighborhood
Associations (CONA), together with a number of community partners,
is challenging Leon County residents to see which neighborhood can
achieve the largest reduction in electricity use from May 15 to
October 15, 2009. Just sign up as an individual at
www.tallyenergychallenge.com and
become part of your the Killearn Lakes team! Winning neighborhoods
will be recognized and receive cool prizes!
We’re hoping the Challenge will raise community awareness
of the way in which we use our energy resources and demonstrate
how easy it is to be more energy efficient and achieve big reductions
in our use of electricity through a collection of small actions!
The website is pretty neat. You can see which of your neighbors
has signed up, and check out the many tips for using less electricity.
