Residents Beware: Wildfire Risk

“Todd W. Schroeder, wildfire mitigation specialist, cautions residents to contact their local Forest Service office before burning outdoors to check weather conditions and see whether there are any restrictions. Burning acreage requires an authorization from the Forest Service prior to ignition, and piles must meet required setbacks and dimensions in order for them to be legally burned. The Forest Service says residents need to be alert, focused and vigilant during winter time months. For more information call (850)488.1871”
